NEXGUARD ("we", "us") operates nexguard.live, the NEXGUARD AI Security Scanner browser extension, and the NEXGUARD Browser desktop application. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
What we collect
- Security scan metadata — URLs, domain names, page structure signals, script/form summaries, and risk indicators needed to detect phishing, scams, and malware. We do not collect passwords, payment card numbers, seed phrases, or private keys by default.
- Email Shield metadata — sender, subject, link domains, and header signals when you use webmail protection. Full message bodies are not stored unless you explicitly request a deep analysis.
- Account & admin data — if you use admin or business features, we store account identifiers and configuration you provide.
- Technical logs — IP address, user agent, error logs, and aggregate usage for reliability and abuse prevention.
What we do not sell
We do not sell personal data. We do not use scan content for advertising profiles. Threat intelligence may use anonymized domain and hash indicators to protect all users.
Extension & browser local storage
The extension and desktop browser may store settings, allowlists, and cached scan results locally on your device. You can reset this data by removing the extension or reinstalling the browser.
Third parties
We use infrastructure providers (hosting, TLS, analytics for site uptime) under data-processing agreements where required. On-chain transactions you initiate interact with public blockchains outside our control.
Retention
Scan logs and admin audit records are retained only as long as needed for security operations, legal compliance, and service improvement, then deleted or anonymized.
Your rights

Children
Our services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We will post updates on this page with a revised date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
